Мотивы вступления в брак и их взаимосвязь с установками на межкультурные браки: кросс-культурный анализ
The article presents the results of a cross-cultural study of the motives for marriage in their relationship with attitudes towards intercultural marriages of representatives in two regions of Russia: the Moscow region and the Republic of Buryatia. The sample consisted of representatives of 3 groups: Russians from the Moscow region (n = 189), Russians from Buryatia (n = 111), Buryats from Buryatia (n = 102). Multivariate analysis of variance showed that such motives as “Following tradition”, “Feeling of compassion”, “Self-affirmation” are more valuable for the Buryats, in contrast to the Russians in Moscow. For the Russians of the Moscow region, attitudes towards intercultural marriages were negatively associated with personal motives (self-affirmation and a sense of loneliness), among the Buryats of Buryatia - with motives due to traditional culture (obligation, following tradition, etc.), among the Russians of Buryatia, with material motives (having a home, the material security of the spouse). The obtained data can be applied in work with youth, in family counseling.
