The article examines the process of initialing the text of the Federal Treaty by the Russian regions in March 1992. The materials of the periodical press are involved. Based on the sources used, the author draws a conclusion about the successful outcome of the initialing process for the Russian Center, which eventually ended with the signing of the Federal Treaty.
