Половецкие патронимы в древнейших русских летописях: генеалогия половецкого рода, взаимодействующего с Русью, и „долголетие” половецких князей
From the middle of the 11th century and up until the Mongol conquest the mentions about the Polovtsy are constantly present on the pages of the Rus’ chronicles. Fragmentation of these chronicles data sometimes causes improbable or controversial phenomenon. The paper analyzes the Rus’-Polovtsian relations on the example of the Polovtsian genius of Sharukan – Otrok – Konchak – Igor Konchakovich. This genealogical chain, one of the longest among the famous Polovtsian geniuses, characterizes the Rus’-Polovtsian contacts during one and a half centuries. However, its detailed anthroponimical and historical analysis makes it possible to identify a number of inconsistencies and gaps in the traditional concept of the Polovtsian elite genealogy. The results of the study, in addition to the basic formulation of the actual contradictions, allow us to offer to them the possible linguistic and historical explanations.
