This collective monograph offers a comparative study of national systems of Higher Education admission exams in six countries of the former Soviet Union: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
The key research question has presented in the title of this book that provides the review and analysis of the policy strategies and decisions for solving the problems and filling gaps in the considering field of education. One of the main focus of this expert reflection is focus on the obtained planned and unexpected results of the governments’ approaches and actions.
The authors express their hope that this book will be useful both for researchers and practitioners, including the development and implementation of future comparative studies. The authors also make a call for joint efforts in the study of the essence, the causes and the consequences of changes in the education systems in post-Soviet countries.
