Роль Шанхайской организации сотрудничества в процессе сопряжения Евразийского экономического союза и Экономического пояса Шелкового пути
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is the most important institution for international cooperation in the Eurasian region. Full membership of India and Pakistan made the Organization more balanced, allowing to solve a wide range of regional problems. Under the circumstances the SCO could play a connecting role in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the Silk Road Economic Belt (SREB) cooperation.
The most probable scenario is the overlapping of the EEU and SREB on the SCO basis, which implies the participation of all parties with their own economic interests through the overcoming of certain contradictions. At the current stage, the SCO countries face the task of creating a soft regulatory environment that will promote regional economic cooperation, increase trade volumes and simplify investment policies.
The article determines the objective and subjective problems of the coordination process, the stages and prospects for the development of international legal regulation of the Eurasian integration, as well as the opportunities that are opening up for Russia in the context of intensification of the EEU, SREB and SCO cooperation.
The implementation of the initiative of the EEU and SREB coordination on the SCO basis opens up new opportunities for the sustainable development of the entire Eurasian region. These integration projects are organically combined and complement each other, creating the effect of positive synergy.
