Гармония как принцип структурной организации художественного текста
The purpose of this study is to search for the manifestation of the laws of harmony, the laws of the golden ratio, in popular modern works of English-language literature. The law of numerical harmony of the world is expressed by the formula a: b = (a + b): a, in which the division of the whole into two unequal parts takes place in such a way that the larger part belongs to the smaller, as the whole – to the larger part. The golden ratio as a sign of the structural unity of objects of nature is found in art. The popular English science fiction story by Arthur Clark "The Nine Billion Names of God" and its translation into Russian, a secondary text, written by translator Leonid Zhdanov, is subject to analysis. In the electronic versions of the English and Russian texts of the same format with a string of text is adopted for the unit of measurement. Calculations are carried out in accordance with the stated formula and content analysis. The numerical study showed a minimum deviation (0.1) from the ideal - the Fibonacci number - in both English and Russian versions of the text, which suggests that the structure of both the original and secondary texts is very harmonious, and the proof of this is undying interest of readers around the world to the works of Arthur.
