Les cris de Paris ou « la publicité médiévale ». De la fonction sociale à la fonction littéraire

Ce travail propose l’analyse des cris de Paris qui étaient créés autour du xiiie siècle. L’article examine comment les cris de Paris en tant qu’un des cas de la communication médiévale s’intègrent assez vite dans les divers genres narratifs, ainsi que dramatiques, pour s’y éterniser, et propose une réponse à la question : quel en était le but ? Ce faisant le travail consacre quelques observations à la théorie carnavalesque de Bakhtine sur le rôle des cris dans les œuvres narratives.
