Институциональная теория и история: российский вариант
The сhapter deals with the problems of institutional analysis of Russian society in both historical and modern contexts. The contribution of Russian researchers to the study of Russia both within the framework of the civilizational paradigm and in terms of its key institutional qualities is shown. Attention is drawn to the inconsistency of the economic mainstream in the study of institutional dynamics in historical time. In accordance with its fundamental prerequisites, it is limited to a static view of the world and a dogma about individual's behavior as homo economicus that is universal for all the representatives of mankind. The mathematical models based on it are incorrect because of incorrect initial assumptions. Social sciences should not seek a common for all countries and peoples model of human behavior, but explore for different civilizations specific cultural-anthropological types of people and proceed from the differentiation of cultures to describe certain social orders. The institutional economic theory of historical development has a future on the way of unification with other social sciences on the basis of a departure from the claims of universalism and concentration on the economic man. The most promising is its amalgamation with historical sociology into a single institutional theory of history.
