Scientists Develop Algorithm for More Reliable Processors in Data Centres
Researchers from HSE MIEM and Samara University have developed the LRF-3D algorithm to automatically bypass idle nodes in three-dimensional networks-on-chip. Thanks to its hierarchical architecture, the algorithm outperforms existing solutions in both speed and path accuracy, improving processor reliability for use in data centres, supercomputers, and AI computing. The source code and test results are publicly available.

Researchers Develop Method for Direct Generation of Regulatory DNA
Researchers at HSE University have developed a model for generating promoters and enhancers—DNA sequences that regulate gene activity. The model works directly with DNA nucleotides, without first transforming them into a continuous numerical representation. This solution could be useful for applications in synthetic biology and gene therapy. The study results were presented at the ICLR 2026 Workshop ‘Generative AI in Genomics (Gen^2): Barriers and Frontiers.’

Distributed Agency Syndrome: Ontological Uncertainty and the Diagnostic Boundaries of Posthuman Embodiment
Anastasia Ugleva, , in: Conference Proceedings: 2026 IEEE Ural-Siberian Conference on Biomedical Engineering, Radioelectronics and Information Technology (USBEREIT), 14-15 May 2026.: IEEE, 2026. P. 1–5.
This article examines an emerging clinical-philosophical phenomenon arising at the intersection of robotic implant technologies (neural interfaces, BCI) and psychiatric diagnostics. The authors focus on “distributed agency”, wherein a bodily part (a robotic prosthesis) possesses its own algorithmic autonomy and can act independently of the patient’s conscious control. This situation generates ontological uncertainty, presenting clinicians ...

Ivanov I., Kislitsyn D., Martynova O. et al.,

From a common sense perspective health is an absolute value. However, even in European societies, with their well-developed institutional infrastructure of preventive healthcare, individuals need to be encouraged, or even forced, for practicing self-care. The Russian state is also interested to promote a healthy lifestyle and self-preservation behavior among the population. Nevertheless, sociological data demonstrate ...

Коммунитаристский критерий для биоэтики
Yudin G., Этическая мысль 2019 Т. 19 № 1 С. 36–48
This paper justifies a communitarian approach to the issues of dissemination of biotechnologies and human enhancement. Communitarianism is compared against the Kantian paradigm in bioethics. Contrary to utilitarianism, Kantianism transcends strictly individualistic perspective by treating use of biotechnologies as social interaction and underlining the primacy of autonomous decision and human dignity. However, Kantianism fails to discriminate ...
