The study is devoted to the analysis of differences between choices of high (HQ) and low (LQ) quality. Differences in the subjective perception of HQ and LQ choices are related to the degree of elaboration, emotional valence, and choice satisfaction; they are associated both with situational factors (order effect of described situations) and personality variables (satisfaction with life, etc.). Choice should not be investigated “in general”, regardless of its subjective quality.
