Соотношение фонемного, слогового и морфемного членения в арабском и русском языках

The paper presents the results of a study of the correlation between phonetic (syllables and phonemes) and minimal meaningful units (morphemes) in two languages presenting different morphological types: Russian Language and Arabic Literary Language. The study shows that the correlation between phonetic and minimal meaningful units reflectspeculiarities of morphological structure of the language andconfirms the influence of morphological structure on the existing relations between meaningful and phonetic sides of the language. The data obtained may contribute to typological studies of languages, as well as be used in teaching Arabic Literary Language the Russian-speaking audience
