‘Science Is Universal-It Knows No Borders
Fuad Aleskerov, Tenured Professor and Director of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis at HSE University, together with his colleagues, has developed methods of network analysis in bibliometrics that have made it possible to identify patterns in the appearance and citation of publications in academic journals, as well as their influence on each other. When one or a number of studies are frequently cited by a wide range of journals, this is an indicator that the research is of high quality. By contrast, extensive cross-citation within a limited group of journals increases the likelihood of identifying a network of predatory publications.

Causative constructions in Amguema Chukchi
Stenin I., Voprosy Jazykoznanija 2026 No. 4 P. 86–111
The article examines causativization strategies in Amguema Chukchi. It focuses primarily on the morphological causative marked by the prefix r- (-n-), which can be derived freely from patientive and experiential intransitive predicates. Only certain classes of agentive intransitive predicates, such as change-of-posture and ingestive verbs, form the proper causative. With most other agentive intransitive verbs, ...

О гортанных смычках и редупликации в чукотском языке
Sieber I., Starchenko A., Вопросы языкознания 2026 № 1 С. 105–135
The paper examines two interrelated topics from Chukchi phonetics: the status of the glottal stop as a segment or prosody and the rules for stem doubling in incomplete reduplications that form the nominative singular. We create a database comprising 181 inflectional reduplications. Reduplications containing a glottal stop and therefore located “at the junction” of these ...

Sieber I., Вопросы языкознания 2024 № 2 С. 122–142
В статье описываются сонорные согласные чукотского языка, а особенное внимание уделено тем из них, которые демонстрируют значительную фонетическую вариативность: аппроксимантам и r. Эта вариативность осмысляется с точки зрения акустики и артикуляции, типологии, истории и диалектологии чукотско-корякских идиомов, социолингвистики и влияния русского языка. Многообразие подходов призвано связать воедино разрозненные факты о чукотском языке, объяснить необычные реализации ...

Beyond syntacticocentric and lexicalist: event-structural force-dynamic approach to noun incorporation and promotion to direct object in Amguema Chukchi
Alexey I. Vinyar, Voprosy Jazykoznanija 2023 No. 2 P. 114–143
There are two most common approaches to analyzing noun incorporation: syntacticocentric, which derives this construction via syntactic movement, and lexicalist, which argues that this complex verbal stem is formed by compounding in the lexicon via rules operating in a verbal lexical entry. Without discussing the general theoretical possibility of such analyses, in this paper I ...

The former is described in literature for some varieties of Chukchi as ...

Contrastive analysis enables to detect all potential negative transfer zones, including the “concealed” ones, which can dramatically increase training system efficiency. The procedure enabling to predict ...
