Immunity to Chaos: How Personal Resources Help Us Cope with the Challenges of a Turbulent World
International conflicts, crises and digital overload—the modern world puts our minds to the test every day. Traditional psychology often focuses on the consequences: anxiety, depression, and psychosomatic disorders. But what if we looked at the problem differently—through the lens of the resources that prevent us from breaking down? Psychological immunity is precisely this set of resources. Alena Zolotareva and her group, Psychological Immunity as a Resource for Positive Functioning, are developing an integrative model of this phenomenon, adapting diagnostic tools and preparing for large-scale empirical research. Why do psychologists need to collaborate with medical professionals, and how could their research transform preventive care in clinics and corporations?

‘Balkan Hospitality Opens Doors: Studying Dialects on the Verge of Extinction
You cannot study spoken dialects from books. Instead, you need to go to a village, seek out its elders, and earn the trust of local residents before you can record hours of spontaneous stories. This is how Natalia Muravleva, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, conducts her research. Her internship in Serbia continued her long-standing study of dialects spoken by Macedonian settlers. In this interview, she discusses how diaspora cultural centres help researchers reach informants, why native speakers need to be interviewed only in their own language (otherwise, as she puts it, they may 'break'), and how a single field season helped her finalise her monograph. She also shares warm memories of autumn in Belgrade and of colleagues with whom grammar can be discussed in three languages at once.

The article attempts to enlarge special literary historically oriented method of analysis Rousseau’s novel and at the same time to underline and define cultural importance of Rousseau as novel writer, not only philosopher, whose ideas and inventions were the great kind of influence on the wide reading audience and literary process on the whole, as well as new life styles and ways of «life-building” in European Culture of the XVIII-XIXth centuries. Retrospective and prospective ways of rereading “Julie, or the New Heloise” realizes by means of addressing to the historical and cultural context of the XVIII-XIXth century Russian Literature with special attention on Ivan Goncharov’s “Oblomov” (1848-1859). Guskov S., , in: Goncharov in the Twenty-First Century.: Academic Studies Press, 2021. Ch. 1 P. 3–21.
The author convincingly proves that correlation of the official and the creative in Goncharov’s biography was more complex than ordinarily represented. The two sides of his personality seem to exist in a fruitful interplay (rather than in opposition). The writer’s use of service-related experience to work out creative goals illustrates that the official Goncharov often ...

Зубков К. Ю., AvtobiografiЯ: Journal on Life Writing and the Representation of the Self in Russian Culture 2020 № 9 С. 125–144
В статье рассматривается незавершенная статья И.А. Гончарова, известная под редакторским названием "Материалы, заготовляемые для критической статьи об Островском". Ее анализ в литературном контексте показывает, что действительной целью Гончарова было не охарактеризовать творчество Островского, а создать собственную писательскую автобиографию, обратиться к которой напрямую ему мешали эстетические убеждения, требовавшие абсолютной "объективности". ...
