We apply the resonant indirect exchange interaction theory to explain the ferromagnetic properties of the hybrid heterostructure consisting of a InGaAs-based quantum well (QW) sandwiched between GaAs barriers with spatially separated Mn delta-layer. The experimentally obtained dependence of the Curie temperature on the QW depth exhibits a peak related to the region of resonant
indirect exchange. We suggest the theoretical explanation and a fit to this dependence as a result of the two contributions to ferromagnetism—the intralayer contribution and the resonant exchange contribution provided by the QW.

Multiple Mn2+ spin-flip Raman scattering (SFRS) in Voigt geometry was observed in self-organized disk-shaped quantum dots (QDs) of CdSe/Zn0.99Mn0.01Se, where magnetic ions and QD carriers are spatially separated and therefore the exchange interaction between them is expected to be weak. Many lines (about ten) were observed in SFRS spectra, yet the overlapping of the hole wave function with Mn2+ ions ...

Manifestations of quantum interference effects in macroscopic objects are rare. Weak localization is one
of the few examples of such effects showing up in the electron transport through solid state. Here, we show
that weak localization becomes prominent also in optical spectroscopy via detection of the electron spin
dynamics. In particular, we find that weak localization controls the ...

Atomically thin semiconductors provide an ideal testbed to investigate the physics of Coulomb-bound many-body states. We shed light on the intricate structure of such complexes by studying the magnetic-field-induced splitting of biexcitons in monolayer WS2 using polarization-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy in out-of-plane magnetic fields up to 30 T. The observed g factor of the biexciton amounts to about −3.9, closely matching the g factor ...

Anomalous behavior of spin stiffness is revealed in ZnO-based two-dimensional electron systems (2DESs)
with strong Coulomb interaction and Wigner-Seitz parameter r_s > 6. The spin stiffness is extracted directly from
the quadratic k-dispersion of spin excitons at ν = 1 probed by inelastic light scattering. The resulting values are
found to be dramatically rescaled compared to the case ...

The anomalous Hall effect (AHE) arises from the interplay of spin-orbit interactions and ferromagnetic order and is a potentially useful probe of electron spin polarization, especially in nanoscale systems where direct measurement is not feasible. While AHE is rather well-understood in metallic ferromagnets, much less is known about the relevance of different physical mechanisms
governing AHE ...

Рассчитана вероятность существования кластеров различного типа в зависимости от концентрации магнитного компонента. We analyze the role of local geometry in the spin and orbital interaction in transition metal compounds with orbital degeneracy.
