In article we represent results of our theoretical analyses of civil identity on the base of social psychological approaches. We showed how the social identity approach is developed in our research. We selected conceptual and structural characteristics of social identity and defined place of civil social characteristics in general structure of social identity. We generalized results of empirical research of structure and dynamic of civil identity of people in different countries.
