Roman und Romanheld in der Konzeption von Friedrich Vischer und Michail Bachtin

In the article the resemblances and differences are analysed in the novel concept from by Friedrich Theodor Vischer and Michail Bachtin. The novel is the paradigmatic literary representation form of the „modern time“ for Vischer. Art is for him, in the succession Hegels, the representation of the sensually appearing idea. Vischers embody the ideals in the artistic form of the novel. For Michail Bachtin the conversion of the Uberpersonliches is weighted in the personal in the novel with the ideology criticism of the totalitarian system. The aesthetic function of the funny means is for the Russian literature specialist an alternative of the personal freedom in the Soviet society. If at Vischer the hero is the centre of different cultural perspectives stands, looks Bachtin at the hero as an object of the author‘s word and as a subject of own word. The ambiguity of the hero is conditioned with Vischer by the Durchkreuzung of cultural perspectives, with Bachtin by the Dialogizitat of the novel. Thus the differences lie between Vischers and Bachtins novel concept not on the aesthetic, but in the ideological area.
