Students in non-psychological areas of study en-counter the study of psychology particularly challenging. On the one hand, students have unrealistically high expectationsshaped by the modern media environment which is saturatedwith near- and pseudo-psycho logical content. On the other hand, they are not inclined to delve deeply into scientific psy-chological knowledge. The solution involves orientating stu-dents toward an independent synthesis of scientific psycholog-ical knowledge and a format of its presentation that is under-standable to students of a particular area of study.
