Апробация русскоязычного опросника для измерения отношения к социальным изменениям
An attitude towards the political system is a complex phenomenon comprised of two main aspects: an attitude towards the current state of affairs in the country and an attitude towards the possible change in the status quo existing in a society. Previous studies show that there are two main operationalizations of the attitude towards social change: (a) an attitude towards social change as a whole and (b) an attitude towards change taking place at a particular time and in a particular
country. The ultimate goal of this research is to create a Russian-language questionnaire to measure the relatively stable orientation of people towards maintaining the existing order or towards social change. The study involved 900 respondents living in Russia. In the course of a study, they completed a long version of a questionnaire to measure attitudes towards social change as well as a methodology to measure overall system justification and right-wing authoritarianism. The results demonstrated that a three-factor structure of the questionnaire is fits well to empirical data and works equally in different gender groups. However, the scalar invariance of the questionnaire across the age groups requires further attention.
