The article reveals the role and place of legal analytics in public administration. According to the author, it is based on the analysis of various legal situations. The structural elements of the legal analytical situation and the variants of its dynamics are analyzed. The types of legal analytics are considered, among which information analytics, data analytics, problem and solution analytics, system analytics, project and predictive analytics stand out. A concrete example shows the tasks and functions of legal analysts in organizations, including: monitoring the legal space; analysis of draft laws and other legislative initiatives; preparation of opinions on draft laws; advising officials, heads of organizations and citizens; participation in the development of strategic decisions and the formation of legal policy of organizations, etc. The concept of the analytical cycle is formulated, its elements are substantiated. An opinion is expressed on the prospects of legal analytics in Russian society and the state. In the course of the presentation, the author repeatedly refers to artificial intelligence data, which generally confirm his statements.
