Сеульская фракция в корейском коммунистическом движении: истоки, деятельность и влияние (1922—1928)
The article examines the emergence of the Seoul Faction on the Korean Peninsula during the 1920s. The Seoul Faction, also known as the Seoul Group, was one of the major groups within the Korean communist movement. The article analyzes the activities of representatives of the Seoul Faction and their relationships with the Co
mintern and other Korean communist groups.
The relevance of this research lies in the fact that studying the activities of the Seoul Faction in the context of the development of the Korean communist movement allows for a deeper understanding of the nature of conflicts and political and ideological differences among Korean communists between 1922 and 1928. Moreover, the political
and ideological issues raised in Korean communist discourse during the colonial period, such as the choice of priority between national liberation and class struggle, remained relevant both in the first years following the liberation of the Korean Peninsula in August 1945 and in contemporary leftist political discourse in the Republic of Korea.
The emergence of the Seoul Faction was a consequence of the spread of communist ideas on the Korean Peninsula. An analysis of the faction's activities makes it possible to more clearly identify the key problems of the Korean communist movement throughout the 1920s, both on an ideological level, referring to divergent priorities of revolutionary struggle, and on an organizational level, referring to the inability to establish a unified and effective movement.
