The manual deals with the Islamic Law as judicial phenomenon closely connected with religion of Islam. The author formulates the notion of Islamic Law as well as its corelation with the Islamic Shariat and Fiqh, the role of general concepts and principles in its formation. The historic evolution of the Islamic Law is defined together with its place in the modern legal systems of the Muslim countries and specifics of its coaction with the European legal culture. The author pays attention to peculiarities of the modern Islamic Law along with demonstration of its features as an independent legal system. The manual covers some branches and institutions of the Islamic Law and its impact upon legislation in force. The special part of the book is devoted to the importance of the Islamic legal culture for modern Russia. The author analyses the position of Islamic Shariat towards Russian legislation in force.
