The scientific novelty and practical significance of the article are determined by reasonable proposals for adapting the use of “green” financial instruments when attracting financing in the activities of companies. The theoretical foundations of modern financing of investment projects, the principles of its implementation are considered. An overview of the features and types of “green” financial instruments in world practice is presented. The application of “green” financial instruments in the Russian Federation and abroad is analyzed, the features of the use of “green” financing instruments in sustainable development projects are revealed on the example of JSC “Russian Railways”.
