The article examines how the pro-Republican FoxNews.com and the pro-Democratic NBCNews.comrepresent the international agenda. The analysis is based on a dataset comprising 3,633 articles from FoxNews.com and 3,632 articles from NBCNews.com published between January 1 and December 31, 2024. These articles were meticulously selected from tens of thousands of messages using monthly parsing to ensure relevance. The study employs web-scraping techniques using Selenium, alongside natural language processing tools from the NLTK package. The Dirichlet Latent Allocation method was applied to identify key narratives and gain a deeper understanding of the results. Systematic and comparative analysis methods were combined with a review of academic literature on the topic. The findings reveal that, despite their political biases, NBCNews.com and FoxNews.com focus extensively on the Israeli-Arab conflict, condemning Israel’s bombings in Gaza and highlighting the humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinians. Both outlets also express concern about the rapid development of China’s economy and scientific advancements. The military conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine occupies a peripheral position in the information flow of both media resources. While FoxNews.com journalists demonstrate an interest in exploring the roots of the conflict, NBCNews.comportrays Russia as a destabilizing force in the region with potential implications for the 2024 U.S. presidential elections. Both media outlets provide more extensive coverage of the situation in Syria compared to events in European countries. Despite the growing activity of global information networks across various continents, the major U.S. media corporations continue to exert significant influence, shaping the international agenda for both domestic and international audiences.
