The applicability of the previously developed methodology for frequency analysis of various linguistic characteristics in Russian-language texts has been demonstrated for the translation of poetic texts. This methodology enables the comparison of different texts and the identification of distinguishing features for the identification of texts in natural language, using pairwise rank correlation coefficients of frequency dictionaries of linguistic characteristics. A comparative analysis of various Russian translations of William Shakespeare’s tragedy «Hamlet, Prince of Denmark» has been conducted. The study has shown the potential of using adjectives and noun phrases as distinguishing features of translators’ styles for the identification of poetic translation texts. The feasibility of calculating psycholinguistic indicators of translated texts based on automatic linguistic analysis of statistical characteristics in Russian has also been demonstrated. Furthermore, psycholinguistic characteristics typical of translations by different authors have been identified.
