The article explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented
reality (AR) technologies in foreign language learning. It examines the core concepts of
augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and immersive environment. The relevance of the
study stems from the limited effectiveness of traditional teaching methods, which fail to
provide sufficient language immersion, personalized learning, or the development of students’
communicative competence. The study aims to conduct a theoretical analysis of key models
for combining AR and AI, systematize their pedagogical potential, and identify the main
challenges of their implementation. The article systematically addresses the following: the
theoretical foundations of applying these modern technologies in education, a classification
of methods for integrating AI and AR, the pedagogical benefits and drawbacks of their
integration in foreign language instruction.
