Предпосылки становления системы наставничества наследников императорского престола в России первой половины XVIII века
This study is a brief overview of the prerequisites for the formation of a system of mentoring heirs to the imperial throne in Russia in the first half of the XVIII century, which consisted of developing the qualities necessary for the future ruler of the state during the upbringing and education of the child of royalty. The research into the issue of mentoring heirs to the imperial throne is of significant interest for the history of pedagogy since the choice of a mentor for the heirs to the throne, their brothers and sisters always was a matter of national importance. Such a teacher not only educated the child, but also shaped their character, suppressing their shortcomings and focusing on their strengths. Mentors and educators of royal children played the role of a link between the august parents and court teachers.
