Эмоциональная дифференцированность как предиктор эффективности регуляции эмоций: исследование с использованием метода многократных замеров
Emotional differentiation is an important characteristic of human emotions that reflects how well an individual can differentiate and describe their emotional states. It has been often suggested that high emotion differentiation is linked to more effective emotion regulation, but empirical results are controversial and provide a complex picture of associations between emotion differentiation and emotion regulation. The present study examined the role of negative emotion differentiation. One hundred and ten participants took part in an experience sampling study. For ten days, seven times a day, they reported to which degree they experienced seven negative emotions and how intensely they used six emotion regulation strategies, three putatively adaptive (reappraisal, acceptance, problem solving) and three putatively maladaptive (suppression, rumination, avoidance). Participants with high negative emotion differentiation used more intensely suppression and avoidance. High negative emotion differentiation resulted in more effective use of putatively maladaptive strategies but was not related to putatively adaptive strategies. On the whole, emotion differentiation was associated with intensity and effective use of emotion regulation strategies, however, these associations were stronger for maladaptive strategies.
