Деонтическая модальность и соответствующие ей грамматические маркеры в рамках японского языка
The category of modality in Japanese language is still widely discussed. What is the essence of modality for native Japanese speakers? How can it be expressed in a Japanese sentence? These two questions are among current ones till nowadays. Despite the extensive theoretical base and the existing traditional description of modality in Japanese linguistics, significant deviations from existing ideas can be noticed when Japanese language is studied by foreigners. Confusion and faulty analogy ultimately affect the quality of application of the acquired knowledge about the Japanese language in practice. This article is devoted to the analysis of one of the main types of the modality, namely deontic modality and its grammatical markers. It is widely represented in the Japanese language in general and in Japanese grammar in particular. An attempt was made to systematically describe the grammatical markers of deontic modality from the perspective of the strength and nature of manifestation of the subject by means of these markers.
