Scientists Develop Algorithm for More Reliable Processors in Data Centres
Researchers from HSE MIEM and Samara University have developed the LRF-3D algorithm to automatically bypass idle nodes in three-dimensional networks-on-chip. Thanks to its hierarchical architecture, the algorithm outperforms existing solutions in both speed and path accuracy, improving processor reliability for use in data centres, supercomputers, and AI computing. The source code and test results are publicly available.

Researchers Develop Method for Direct Generation of Regulatory DNA
Researchers at HSE University have developed a model for generating promoters and enhancers—DNA sequences that regulate gene activity. The model works directly with DNA nucleotides, without first transforming them into a continuous numerical representation. This solution could be useful for applications in synthetic biology and gene therapy. The study results were presented at the ICLR 2026 Workshop ‘Generative AI in Genomics (Gen^2): Barriers and Frontiers.’

Исследования языковой политики как публичной политики в российской и мировой науке

Социолингвистика. 2023. Т. 3. № 15. С. 29–52.
Zamyatin K.

In connection with significant changes in the life of society and the state in recent years, the issues of language policy have again become relevant. The need to respond to new challenges launched the processes of language planning, at the core of which was the process of developing the Concept of the state language policy, which is essentially a stage of policy formation. An important milestone in this process is the adjustment of bureaucratic and academic approaches to policy making. The analysis of the problems that arose in this case is of not only practical, but also theoretical interest, since it not only characterizes specific Russian problems, but also reveals general trends in the formation of language policy and allows us to consider the topical problem of the central role of the state given the - 120 -
plurality of subjects of language policy. In this article, based on the analysis of documents and speeches of officials, participant observation and personal experience of participating in the practice of language policy, I analyze discourses and communicative practices in the process of adjusting bureaucratic and academic discourses when developing drafts of the Concept of Language Policy. It seems to me that despite the existence of significant differences in discourses and practices, agreement can be achieved, since the disagreements are rooted in attitudes that are not mutually exclusive but largely complementary to each other.

Vanishing Vanguard: Decline of Leadership in Revolutionary Mass Mobilization since the 19th Century
Ustyuzhanin V., Zinkina J. V., Korotayev A., / Series "SocArXiv". 2026.
“Leaderlessness” is widely held to be a defining feature of contemporary mass mobilization, yet the claim rests on a handful of recent cases. We offer the first systematic cross-national analysis of this phenomenon from 1791 to 2019. We show that the absence of leadership is real but older and more modest than claimed: the share ...
