Проблемы платежного баланса: международный сравнительный анализ
The prerequisites of possible currency crises in three countries - Belarus, the Czech Republic and Hungary - are considered. The currency crisis in the first country has already occurred, and the possibility of such a scenario in the other two countries is discussed by analogy. The arguments are based on an analysis of the dynamics of economic indicators in these three countries in 2002-2012. For analysis situations with payment balance in different countries, the notion of BCA (balance of current account) instability is introduced. Status of the BCA instability in the world in the previous 11 years is analyzed. It is found that the BCA instability is typical of 134 out of 183 countries in the period under consideration. These countries produce approximately 33.8% of the world GDP, and nearly 52% of the world’s population lives in these countries.
