INTERNET SLANG IN THE MODERN FRENCH LANGUAGE
Nowadays, virtual communication is a special language full of new words. This study explores main trends in the process of Internet slang formation. The aims of our study are the following: examination of this process from a linguistic point of view and identification of the most common slang words using a public survey among young French-speaking people. The results are analyzed and classified by the ways of their formation. The conclusions of this study
could be useful for future research on this subject.
