The relevance of the topic under consideration is due to the increased attention to the problem of anti-colonialism in recent years in the world, including in the context of the Special Military Operation and Russia's rejection of the course towards integration with the countries of the collective West. Meanwhile, in modern Russian academic literature, the problems of anti-colonial studies are not sufficiently covered. An "end-to-end" analysis of the global academic discourse on anti-colonial issues is carried out (i.e., how it is reflected in the global scientific literature), and a view from a purely "Russian corner" is not presented. The starting point of the study is 1960 (the Year of Africa), although the anti-colonial discourse certainly existed earlier. The works of both representatives of the countries of the Global South themselves and scholars from Europe and the USA are considered.
