The aim of the study is to compare the survival messages obtained from ancestors with the survival messages addressed to children.Subjects-women N 58, average age 38 years completed a questionnaire on the rules of survival received in their parents' families. The main difference is that in the survival messages addressed to children there are rules about ethical behavior, the value of compassion, the value of education and profession, in contrast to the survival rules derived from ancestors that contain traumocentric attitudes.
Focused on memory studies scientists pay attention to so-called «traumas» - personal, individual; «traumas» of consciousness and memory. We believe that its important to consider the influence of psychoanalysis on «memory» problem within the framework of «memory studies» research.
The article discusses practices of overcoming critical life situations which reflect the duality of the social sphere. Structural limitations as external objective circumstances form a limited set of alternatives, however, an actor, given his (her) own motivation and supporting agents, is able to realize one of the possible scripts of overcoming the crisis. The specific nature of research into the practices of overcoming critical life situations, which are not readily available for everyday observation, predetermines the choice of the biographical (narrative) method as a research strategy focused on subjective interpretations of one's life past events.
