Психологические службы как агенты поддержания психологического благополучия студентов: анализ сайтов вузов
Research shows that university students are a vulnerable group in terms of psychological wellbeing, due to the stress they face in adjusting to a new environment — particularly in the aftermath of the pandemic of COVID-19. However, a barrier to accessing psychological support may be low awareness about psychological services; a tool for raising this awareness could be websites of psychological services. To assess how psychological services are represented on the websites of Russian universities, data were collected for 528 Russian universities between September and October 2022. Information was collected following a list of indicators regarding the availability of a website, information about staff, counseling, and other services. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The analysis showed that slightly less than half of HEIs (44%) have a website of the psychological service. But in many HEIs that have a website of the psychological service, the information about its activities is not fully presented. Providing additional information about the staff, counseling and other services can help students to understand the activities of the service more clearly and to apply for psychological help more willingly.
