Theater discussion 1918-1920 is regarded as an independent phenomenon. The author analyzes A. Lunacharsky’s and P. Kerzhentsev’s standpoints. Moreover, the author shows the influence of the theatrical debate on the formation of the public administrations in Soviet Russia.
The article notes the importance for the Bolsheviks to the cinema, as a new branch of leisure, actively involved in the process of educating viewers and «presentation» mode and success of his policies. In conditions of class confrontation artistic space for power played derived role from the political sphere. «Strike» S. Eisenstein not only put an end to the influence the canons of art in the Soviet cinema. The call to «Remember!» in the context of the film and age bore the clear imprint of revenge for the «cursed» past. «Strike» is not only opened a broad way of the historical-revolutionary film. Changed even the «face» of Comedy, where the main object of laughter became «predatory orders» of bourgeois society. Gradually, in the eyes of the audience and the internal capitalism (in the twenties he consistently not associated with the pre-revolutionary bourgeois but with нэпман) firmly merged with the image of the «world capital». Soviet cinema was again put to a difficult choice between universal human values, and ideology of class struggle.
