The attitude to managerial work in society changed according to cultural determinants of eras. These changes are traced in the range from awe to neglect, from sacral to the ordinary. During an era of globalization, fast changes and increase of uncertainty special requirements are imposed to managerial activities. Management calls are assumed not only by the persons given special authority but also other employees which owing to various reasons appear before need to make managerial decisions and to carry out managerial actions. Issues of the status of these persons, their abilities and readiness to assume responsibility of the management are discussed.
