‘Science Is Universal-It Knows No Borders
Fuad Aleskerov, Tenured Professor and Director of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis at HSE University, together with his colleagues, has developed methods of network analysis in bibliometrics that have made it possible to identify patterns in the appearance and citation of publications in academic journals, as well as their influence on each other. When one or a number of studies are frequently cited by a wide range of journals, this is an indicator that the research is of high quality. By contrast, extensive cross-citation within a limited group of journals increases the likelihood of identifying a network of predatory publications.

The problem of the development of inbound tourism in Russia

P. 235–240.
Kirsanova M., Седова Т. В., Коровушкина М. В.

The paper deals with serious challenges that Russian tourism industry faces: the reduc-tion in outbound tourism, inability of the industry to be redirected to inbound tourism, problems of human re-sources. Consumers are looking for authentic experiences such as local gastronomic traditions. The research analyses the current situation of inbound tourism in Russia, particularly of Russian gastronomic tourism. For this purpose, the dialectical approach to the analysis of the results of an opinion poll held among the students of Moscow universities studying Tourism and Travel Management is applied. The paper identifies the causes of problems divided into four groups. This analysis contributes to the solution of the problems and promotion of an active development of the inbound gastronomic tourism in Russia. The obtained results underline the correlation between gastronomic inbound tourism and the professional development of Gastronomy Travel Managers. It is concluded that gastronomic tourism management should be incorporated as a subject of study in Tourism and Travel Management programs.
