Mikhail Kuzmin and his reader of the Soviet era.
This paper discusses an important component of the radio frequency identification (RFID) system, namely, the RFID-tag and the bending effect on its electrodynamic parameters. The RFID tag was modeled and the following parameters were calculated: Scattering Coefficients (parameter S11), Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), vertical and horizontal radiation patterns and total. The results of the work will allow optimizing the design of the RFID-tag in such a way as to achieve optimal quantitative indicators of electrodynamic parameters.
The commentary to the novel K. Vaginov
This is a republication with comments and intriduction of a one scetch about the artistic cabaret "Vagrant dog"
Michael Ondaatje’s “English Patient” enjoyed fame among Russian readers and insufficient attention among Russian scholars. The article considers the postmodernist principle of permeable borders as the basis of the novel’s poetics of memory. Permeable borders are analysed on the level of spatial and then temporal composition. These are then shown in their interdependence with the images of the main characters. Four characters’ scenarios of self-identification are described in their relations to the past and the present. Almaśy’s memory scenario is proven to form the model for the whole novel’s narrative. All these elements of the novel’s poetics are brought together to form the model for the reader’s behavior as a participant of the fictitious world.

The theoretical framework of the article is “documentary modernism” which as a literary phenomenon appeared in the English prose of the 1930s and as a notion is being conceptualized in contemporary criticism. This concept serves as a pivotal point of investigation of a novel by Henry Green, a late modernist who remains virtually unknown for the Russian scholars of literature. Written in the context of increasing interest in journalism, “Caught” is analyzed in the process of its narrative transgression of memoir and autobiography forms as well as the loss of determinacy between its narrative subjects. This may be an evidence of the postmodernist trend gradually emerging in the English novel. «Caught»’s transgression of documentalism is investigated from the outside (Green’s own autobiography, influence of Proust’s memoirs) as well as from the inside of fictitious reality (relations between the author, the narrator, the character and the reader).
