Money has played a vital role in Indian history. Since ancient times, trading communities in coastal and inland regions have connected the subcontinent with various civilizations. One key aspect of this trade was that, alongside monetary exchange, cultural values ​​and traditions were also exchanged. Money was not only a means of exchanging goods but also "cultural capital." The emergence of money in India is closely linked to India's trade relations with several significant cities and kingdoms in the ancient and medieval periods. Considered a medium of exchange, money actually encouraged people to unite and develop rules for such exchange, as well as bonds of trust. Along with deepening economic ties, trade embodies socialization at various levels and stimulates intercultural exchanges.
