The article is devoted to a detailed analysis of main definitions used by the legislator to describing the sexual offences, in particular rape and sexual assault. By using of "comparative" method were identified resemblances and distinctions of the above actions. The results of this research allow solving the problem of qualification of these crimes by the enforcer.
The article considers the concept of “autonomy” with regard to the translator as a professional foreign language user and describes the aspects which it covers. A conclusion is made that the translator’s autonomy includes knowledge, personality and technical components. A description of knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics which are included in each of the components is provided.
The article compares the slang used by German students in the XIXth century and the slang used by German youth in the XXIth century. The research findings are similarities in lexico-thematic groups and also common tendencies in the way the vocabulary is enriched (metaphors, borrowing and world-building). Every case is proved with examples from dictionaries published in different centuries.
The paper sums up the results of the comparative analysis of youth slang words in Slavic, Germanic and Romance languages, the language data are taken from Russian, German and French youth´s speech with several examples from English and Spanish. There are defined some common features in vocabulary enrichment (word-building, metaphorization, borrowing) and functioning of these phenomena. The conclusions are illustrated with concrete examples from lexicographical sources of the 21st century.
The article deals with the sources of replenishing youth slang. There come to light general tendencies of extension of the body of youth slang vocabulary in German and Russian which include metaphorization, word-formation and borrowing. The Research is carried out on the material of the lexicographic sources of the XIX - XXI centuries.
The paper focuses on the principle underlying the conceptual bases formation of two categories of qualitative adjectives in English, namely «Mental characteristics of human beings» and «Characteristics of human beings' appearance». It is demonstrated that their conceptual bases are built by certain archetypical concepts forming binary oppositions. In particular, the following archetypical conceptual oppositions are analysed: LIGHT–DARKNESS, FRIEND–FOE, LIFE–DEATH.

The article deals with the German youth language characteristic for Internet sites. The research is carried out on the material of German-speaking web resources: forums, chats, social networks, entertaining and game portals. Youth net-work lexicon is divided into some thematic groups, its peculiar features are analyzed.
The article investigates the usage of words and word combinations of the German youth slang in modern fiction. It identifies simi- larities and differences between youth' vocabulary and general colloquialisms. English borrowings are paid a special attention to. The article also analyses the role of youth slang in portraying characters, their inner world, speech and creating an expressive stylistic background in fiction written for young people and about them.
