Похвальное слово Апостолу Андрею Никиты Давида Пафлагонянина
ASPIRATIO. Церковно-гуманитарные исследования. 2024. Т. 1. № 2. С. 104–123.
The purpose of this article is to present to Russian-speaking readers a translation of the text of the encomium of Niсetas David Paphlagonian dedicated to the Apostle Andrew, which is among his encomiums to the apostles. The material published here is a second, less well-known work by this author dedicated to the Apostle. The work is characterized by an abundance of nonevangelical material, as well as by emphasis on the plots of the “Acts of Andrew and Matthias”. There are two dozen manuscripts of this encomium, however, there is not any critical edition of the text, as well as it has not been fully translated into Russian.

Previous EEG studies demonstrated ample evidence for a major influence of morphological regularity on inflectional processing. However, regularity effects may be attributed to different properties of inflectional classes: to type frequency, to productivity, or to defaultness (assumed only in some models). In many languages, these factors cannot be teased apart, but it is possible in ...

This Handbook examines relations between Japan and Korea from 1850 to the present.
Analyzing almost 200 years of Japan and Korea relations uncovers a relationship that has been both congenial and confrontational. This Handbook examines these relations in this age of modernity by dividing it into four periods: precolonial relations (1850–1905); colonial rule (1905–1945); post-war/post-liberation (1945–1965); ...

Boris Pasternak’s poem “Before All That There Was Winter” (from the book “My Sister, Life”) is enigmatic in many ways: its content is obscure, its syntax is not always clear, and the boundaries of its metaphors are not obvious. It requires a thorough and detailed analysis of each line. This analysis was carried out by ...

This article presents a novel corpus-based approach to (im)politeness research, grounded in Terkourafi's theory of politeness as conventionalization, which highlights the frequent use of linguistic forms in specific contexts as key to developing politeness meanings. We propose lexical bundles – recurrent multi-word sequences – as a systematic tool for tracking (im)politeness in discourse. To illustrate ...
