Новые правила трансграничной передачи персональных данных: к чему готовиться бизнесу?

On March 1, 2023 new rules of cross-border transfer of personal data will come into force - parts 8, 9, 12, 13 article 12 of the Federal Law "On Personal Data" (hereinafter - PD Law). The Government has adopted two decisions (№ 61 dated 10.01.2023, and № 242 dated 16.01.2023), which approved the decision-making rules to ban or restrict the cross-border transfer of personal data and to prohibit or limit the cross-border transfer of personal data in order to protect the morality, health, rights and legitimate interests of citizens. These rules will also come into force on March 1. Experts told what is the difference between them and what businesses should consider when they come into force on March 1, 2023.
