Экологическая Конституция: постановка проблемы

Issues of environmental protection, environmental rights of citizens until the 20th century were not particularly discussed. However, in connection with the growth of factors that adversely affect the environment, there is an understanding of the need for legal regulation of these issues both at the national level and within the framework of international cooperation. Proposals have been made for a long time to supplement the Constitution of the Russian Federation with a mention of the ecological nature of the state. The authors prove that the existing “environmental” provisions of the Constitution create a powerful basis for the development of Russia as an ecological state, and in addition, the amendments made to it in 2020 enhance the development of this direction. A wide range of methods were used, including the method of analysis, comparison, logical, deduction and generalization. It is concluded that the Constitution of the Russian Federation had a real positive impact on the development of environmental law.
