Statement of the Problem: The increasing volume of data exchange and the complexity of network topologies increase the requirements to reliability and guaranteed information delivery. Known methods of improving reliability based on the redundancy of devices or several redundant paths, involve more and more computing power and do not always meet the requirements for fault-free operation of physical telecommunications equipment. The way out is to use virtualization of network components and use built-in methods to improve reliability.
The purpose of this paper is to review the existing components of improving reliability in virtualized networks. It is proposed to consider ways to improve the reliability and quality of the network using the mechanisms of network function virtualization.
