Development of software for inertial measurement unit on the Zeeman laser gyros operating in quasifourmode regime and on quartz accelerometers is considered. The mathematical algorithms that provide full compensation both magnetic and non-magnetic components of the laser gyro drift, and algorithms for accelerometers error compensation with periodic calibration of the ADC are described.
In 1964 first laser gyros with Zeeman magnetooptical biasing were developed in RDI "Polyus". During elapsed years these devices passed several stages of improvements, and laser inertial systems at their base were created and are being produced to be applied in systems for moving objects control.
The results of investigation and comparative tests of Si-flex and Q-flex accelerometers in the inertial measurement unit are analyzed. The advantages and the problems of above accelerometers conntected with pendulum material are described and its influence on the accelerometers accuracy parameters as well as inertial measurement unit's accuracy class are discussed.
The aim of the research was the selection of the accelerometer, the most relevant requirements of application in inertial measuring unit. The greatest approach for the precision parameters to the requirements of the INS demonstrated quartz accelerometer AK-6, so it is recommended to use its design as a basis for further improvement and use in the production the newest group of technologies that increase productivity and reduce cost.
