Социальное пространство: обзор теоретических интерпретаций
A theoretical and conceptual basis for the investigation of the subject Festive city space is proposed. Some sociological approaches to the analysis of urban space are covered. All the material is systematized and subdivided according to three aspects of looking at social space: the space of social actors interactions; the structure of status positions; the connection of geographic space and social meanings that are attached to it.
The article discusses the concept of the creative city and its application in Russian cities. On the examples of Obvodny Kanal area and New Holland Island in St. Pe- tersburg the possible consequences of the creative spaces development are analyzed: social segregation, elitism and the increasing importance of the cultural consump- tion as a segregational practice.
This article is talking about state management and cultural policy, their nature and content in term of the new tendency - development of postindustrial society. It mentioned here, that at the moment cultural policy is the base of regional political activity and that regions can get strong competitive advantage if they are able to implement cultural policy successfully. All these trends can produce elements of new economic development.
