Motion of a heavy bead along a circular hoop rotating around an inclined axis
International Journal of Non-Linear Mechanics. 2021. Vol. 137. Article 103791.
Burov A. A., Nikonov V.
The motion of a heavy bead on a smooth ring is considered. The ring is rotating uniformly around an inclined diameter. The integrability of the equations is studied using the method of splitting separatrices. The Poincaré maps for the period are constructed. Some classes of periodic motion are identified, and their stability is investigated. The reaction is calculated, and its properties are discussed.

For a subfield $\K$ of the field $\C$ of complex numbers, we consider curve and divisorial valuations on the algebra $\K[[x,y]]$ of formal power series in two variables with the coefficients in $\K$. We compute the semigroup Poincar\'e series and the classical Poincar\'e series of a (discrete, rank one) valuation on it. ...

This paper compares the ranging precision of direct time-of-flight (dToF) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) LiDAR architectures, both using a superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SNSPD). Both systems operate at 1550 nm with a 50 ps pulsed laser and time-correlated single-photon counting (TCSPC). The dToF configuration achieved approximately 100 µm precision at 10 m, while the NLOS configuration achieved 500 µm precision for ...

In this paper, we revisit the classic problem of a wave field on a sloping beach of an arbitrary angle and propose a general approach that allows the computation of regular solutions of the problem regardless of the angle. We use the Mellin-transform technique, reducing the problem to singular integral equations with fixed-point singularities of ...

The limited availability of lithium metal resources has led to the development of sodium/potassium-ion batteries due to the abundance and low cost of sodium/potassium. However, finding suitable cathode materials with high capacity, stable cycling performance, and efficient electrochemical interface is still challenging. Herein, the honeycomb layered structures of P2-type A2Ni2TeO6 (A = Na, K) have been explored ...

This symmetry leads to a significant difference between Shilnikov attractors in the orientation-reversing ...
