Формирование клиентоориентированного подхода к бизнесу: концептуальная модель
This paper focuses on the customer orientation and considers an evolution of this notion, its modern interpretation, and conceptual model of customer-centric business approach. The main goal is to identify and classify the attributes of customer-centric approach. The subject of our study is a customer-centric approach, and the objects are attributes of this approach. As research method, we used a meta-analysis of academic papers devoted to customer orientation and related concepts. The model developed contains a combination of three types of customer centricity attributes and metrics of business performance of customer-centric companies. This model forms the basis for further investigation of peculiarities of the customer-centric approach in different industries, and for evaluation of an impact of customer-centricity level on business performance
In modern world the importance of customer orientation (CO) cannot be underestimated. It hugely impacts the overall business performance as well as separate areas of business-customer interaction. In this paper we examine the role of personal level relations and customer orientation in direct sales industry (DS) on the Russian market. Based on a large scale survey (over 6000 participants in over 74 regions of Russia we develop a model revealing the factors that define the level of customer orientation in personal level interactions.
Specifics of emerging markets raise some questions on the applicability of well-established marketing concepts and scales, widely used in the developed markets, in the context of emerging markets. Over the past twenty years emerging markets have remained one of the main focus of marketing research. The interest of the researchers to the emerging markets is not accidental, it is caused by the peculiarities of the developing markets. Specific features of the emerging markets challenge the use of approaches designed for developed markets in emerging markets. Existing research describes peculiarities of emerging markets and shows the evidence of inability to use the theories designed in the developed markets in emerging markets (Burgess, Steenkamp, 2006; Sheth, 2011). The external environment and the increasing competition force companies to rethink their marketing activities and seek new sources of competitive advantages, and one of the primary tasks for the company is the development of customer orientation (Jacob, 2006; Ellis, 2006; Frambach, Fiss, Ingenbleek, 2016). Customer orientation (CO), as one of the key concepts of contemporary marketing, requires rethinking in the context of emerging markets (Sheth, 2011; Roersen, Kraaijenbrink, Groen, 2013; Smirnova, Rebiazina, Frosen, 2018). The purpose of this paper is to develop a tool for a complex evaluation of the company’s CO adapted to the specifics of the Russian emerging market. The empirical study includes mixed qualitative-quantitative design: at the first stage a quantitative survey with representatives of 239 companies operating in the Russian market, and at the second - 62 in-depth interviews were conducted to test the CO scale’s applicability to the Russian market.

The purpose of the article is to develop a tool for a complex evaluation of the company’s customer orientation level adapted to the Russian market. The empirical study includes mixed qualitative-quantitative design: at the first stage we conducted a quantitative survey with representatives of 239 companies operating in the Russian market, at the second - 62 in-depth interviews. For the analysis of quantitative data we used an explanatory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). As a result the four factorial scale model consisting of 14 indicators was obtained. Drawing on in-depth interviews analysis, the scale was supplemented by the indicators expressing the specifics of customer orientation on the Russian market.
The present article is focused on customer orientation (CO) in the emerging Russian market. We use existing CO measurement scales and conduct EFA and CFA data analysis procedures to get insights into CO cosntruct in Russian companies.
Customer orientation (CO) is a basic marketing concept that has been discussed within the marketing discourse since the 1950s. It suggests that a company should identify and satisfy customers’ needs to maximize customer equity, thus extending business objectives from profit generation to non-financial goals. It can be described as a strategic orientation with focus on developing relationship building and customer awareness capabilities in order to achieve higher business performance. In this chapter we review the CO concept in general, provide insights on its implications in emerging markets and develop propositions for framing future research on CO in emerging markets.
Smoking is a problem, bringing signifi cant social and economic costs to Russiansociety. However, ratifi cation of the World health organization Framework conventionon tobacco control makes it possible to improve Russian legislation accordingto the international standards. So, I describe some measures that should be taken bythe Russian authorities in the nearest future, and I examine their effi ciency. By studyingthe international evidence I analyze the impact of the smoke-free areas, advertisementand sponsorship bans, tax increases, etc. on the prevalence of smoking, cigaretteconsumption and some other indicators. I also investigate the obstacles confrontingthe Russian authorities when they introduce new policy measures and the public attitudetowards these measures. I conclude that there is a number of easy-to-implementanti-smoking activities that need no fi nancial resources but only a political will.
One of the most important indicators of company's success is the increase of its value. The article investigates traditional methods of company's value assessment and the evidence that the application of these methods is incorrect in the new stage of economy. So it is necessary to create a new method of valuation based on the new main sources of company's success that is its intellectual capital.

At present many industries reveal tendency for setting up of vertically integrated companies (VIC) the structure of which unites all technological processes. This tendency proved its efficiency in oil industry where coordination of all successive stages of technological process, namely, oil prospecting and production -oil transportation - oil processing - oil chemistry - oil products and oil chemicals marketing, is necessary. The article considers specific features of introduction of "personnel management" module at enterprises of oil and gas industry.
