Рабочий университет Хихона: рецепция классики в архитектуре франкистской Испании

The article Universidad Laboral de Gijón: Reception of Classical architecture in Spain under Franco deals with the biggest building in Spain, the Universidad laboral (Workers’ University) in Gijón, Asturia, built in 1946–1957 by important Spanish architect Luis Moya Blanco. Moya was a prominent protagonist of the antimodernist architectural theory, insisting in the importance of the Classical tradition. The article analyzes the features of many buildings of Gijón university in the context of Ancient Rome and Spanish Renaissance and Baroque architecture, discovering different ways and methods of interpretation of Classical forms by Moya. The author argues that Universidad Laboral de Gijón was one of the most important traditionalist buildings of 20th century.
