Иностранные концессии в 1920-х годах в СССР: «почему расстались»?
Foreign concessions in the USSR existed for a very short period of 8—9 years. The paper considers some causes behind the closure of the concession companies that happened despite the assurances of the Soviet authorities allegedly desiring to attract foreign investment and technology. One of these causes were the conflicts between the concessions’ administrations and the trade unions in the enterprises; the other refers to the intentionally limited access to financial resources.
In an article written on the basis of a scientific paper describes the current status of nepovezane with respect to a dispute between the "objectivist" and "subjectivity" on its essence and prospects. The author identifies key trends in the study of the new economic policy in the 2000's.: a reassessment of Soviet historiography, folding regional research schools, updating the history of everyday life of the 1920s, mass moods and behavior. It is the reference to the history of everyday life contributes to the process of formation of uniform fields of historiography bourgeoisie issues.

This article considers the notion of categories of foreign investments and foreign investor in the International Investment Law of Russia and Kazakhstan through the prism of three levels of legal regulation – the national legislation, bilateral and multilateral international treaties. National legislation governing foreign investments, despite having based on common legal structures and instruments, in the conceptual framework may differ significantly in the recipient state of foreign investment from that one in the country of origin of a foreign investor. The analysis of investment legislation of Kazakhstan seems to be very important in this context especially after its fundamental modification by the adoption of Business Code in 2015. This circumstance is fully applicable to the legislation of Russia and Georgia, simultaneously being participants of three of the integration processes – in the framework of the CIS, the EAEU and the SCO.
Russian federal agencies have created a variety of consultative bodies during the last decade, but their role in the agency's decision-making process is yet to be evaluated. Relevant experience of other countries proposes two major political factors of consultative bodies' influence. The political culture orientation towards compromise and positive perception of interest groups' participation in the decision-making process seem to contribute to that influence.
Smoking is a problem, bringing signifi cant social and economic costs to Russiansociety. However, ratifi cation of the World health organization Framework conventionon tobacco control makes it possible to improve Russian legislation accordingto the international standards. So, I describe some measures that should be taken bythe Russian authorities in the nearest future, and I examine their effi ciency. By studyingthe international evidence I analyze the impact of the smoke-free areas, advertisementand sponsorship bans, tax increases, etc. on the prevalence of smoking, cigaretteconsumption and some other indicators. I also investigate the obstacles confrontingthe Russian authorities when they introduce new policy measures and the public attitudetowards these measures. I conclude that there is a number of easy-to-implementanti-smoking activities that need no fi nancial resources but only a political will.
One of the most important indicators of company's success is the increase of its value. The article investigates traditional methods of company's value assessment and the evidence that the application of these methods is incorrect in the new stage of economy. So it is necessary to create a new method of valuation based on the new main sources of company's success that is its intellectual capital.
